Bring a work of art (either in progress or complete) for constructive critique from the group! One piece per artist, please. Don't have work to share at the moment? No problem--come anyway and give feedback to others.
Each artist will place their work in front of everyone and introduce it by giving the title and materials used to create the piece and no further information. The group will then have a few minutes to discuss with a focus on their impressions of the piece, the ideas and emotions that the work elicits in viewers and the way that one’s eyes move around the work. The artist will then have a brief time to respond to the reactions and to pose any questions that they want the group to weigh in on. This will lead into a final discussion period between the group and the artist before moving on to the next work.
The amount of time we can spend on each work will be determined by the number of people with work to share that show up.
